Dave Crosby and his daughter Claire mesmerized fans on season 13 of *The Voice* with their emotional performance of *Toy Story*’s “You’ve Got A Friend In Me.”
Their Blind Audition quickly turned into a spectacular event that brought warmth to the stage and highlighted their special friendship.
Dave rose to fame before *The Voice* thanks to viral YouTube recordings of Claire, including a performance of the same song that caught Ellen DeGeneres’ attention and led to an appearance on her show. The video has received over 14.6 million views.
Dave’s performance of “I Will Follow You Into The Dark” caused coaches Adam Levine, Miley Cyrus, and Blake Shelton to alternate chairs during *The Voice*.
He discussed how his love of music was reignited after becoming a father and becoming virally renowned. When Adam Levine realized they were virally famous, he asked Claire to join her father on stage for a special duet.
Despite Dave’s eventual joining of Team Adam after being eliminated during The Battles, their audition remains one of the season’s most memorable moments. The performance was the ideal illustration of the enduring influence of family and music.
